The Innovation Park continues, a project that occupies 12 hectares in front of the River Plate field in the former Argentine Federal Shooting. It is on this property that the college of the Technological Institute of Buenos Aires (ITBA) has three hectares for the realization of its main headquarters.
It is in the 12 hectares mentioned that public and private institutions will be developed for innovation purposes such as universities, higher education and scientific research. This property is delimited by Udaondo Avenue, Campos Salles and Bavio streets and Lugones Avenue.
The area of the new headquarters of the college Tecnológica will have approximately 20,000 square meters and will have 4,800 square meters of green spaces.
In the words of the rector of ITBA: “This idea goes hand in hand with the concept of what we call a college 4.0 because we are looking for an institution that is 100% connected with its entire ecosystem: with companies and organizations, with the scientific system and work teams and where the academic offer is also linked to each other”.
For his part, the director of the Development Unit of the ITBA building said that “this is how we look for an aesthetically pleasing, disruptive building that becomes an icon of university architecture at a national and regional level.”
About the Innovation Park
It is in this property that there will be companies, residential buildings, offices and institutions of higher learning. The investment required for the construction of this park is more than 500 million dollars. However, it is estimated that when it is operational, it will mobilize an economic activity of 1 billion dollars per year.
The 1000 million that the property will mobilize correspond to about 1% of the Gross Geographic Product (PGB) of the province of Buenos Aires.
Also, two weeks ago, 1,800 square meters in the Innovation Park were auctioned (by Banco Ciudad) for the telecommunications company IPLAN.
Pablo Saubidet, president of the aforementioned company, bought the portion of the property for little more than the base price of $15,098,504.70. It is expected that a residential neighborhood will be built in that area.
