New fuel prices govern: How much more does it cost to fill the tank?

This Friday, April 1, fuels increased againwith an increase of $3 to gasoline and one of $5 to dieselas announced by the president, Luis Lacalle Pou, this Wednesday.

Diesel oil went from $53.99 to $58.99, and compared to January 2021, when it was marked at $40.4, increased 18.5 pesosa percentage of 46%.

Supergas (LPG) went from $60.35 to $63.35 per kilo, which leads to a cost of the bottle of 13 kilos of $823.55 (without shipping). Until yesterday this input cost $784.55, so the bottle it increased $39 this Friday, a percentage of 4.9%.

Since the application of the Import Parity Price (PPI) began, set by the Law of Urgent Consideration, and to date, the variation in international prices has been partially transferred to public prices. For this month, the Ursea report, an input used by the government to guide itself when setting prices, recommended an increase in $15 for diesel and $7.5 for gasoline.
