A new episode of computer virus affects the Judiciary. The Administrative Corporation of the Judicial Power (CAPJ) alerted the magistrates on Wednesday about the violation of other equipment. This time, it affects some computers with Windows 10 -with current antivirus-, unlike what happened on Monday, when the contaminated computers had Windows 7.
According to Thirdthe CAPJ pointed out that “these computers are being technically analyzed to determine the reasons and type of contagion and that it is presumably due to the use of a contaminated flash drive, shared folders or others.”

From the Judiciary, the magistrates are being recommended to disconnect from the institutional network. “If you throw them a security alert, they could be vulnerable and it would be better to disconnect from the VPN,” they noted.
At the moment, three courts are affected.
For its part, the IT Department of the CAPJ is taking measures. “Thanks to the joint work carried out with the zonal administrations, the technical team and the courts of justice throughout the country, it has been possible to clean 90% of the (initially) infected computers, which total approximately 700 units throughout the country” , they pointed out.
“The systems for processing cases of the Judiciary, administrative support systems for judicial management, the Virtual Judicial Office and email, have not been affected by this virus and are daily centrally supported by the institution and that they are not records leakage of information from said systems”, they added.
