This week, the new phase of the National Support Program for Micro and Small Businesses, Pronampe, began. Unlike previous editions, held in 2020 and 2021, this year it is possible to apply for credit digitally through the e-CAC platform, from the Federal Revenue Service.
Another novelty is the exemption from the Tax on Financial Operations, the IOF, as explained today (27), in an interview with the program The Voice of Brazilthe vice president of Retail Business at Banco do Brasil, Carlos Motta.
According to Motta, BB also makes it possible to finance credits from the Pronampe fund for individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), who were also awarded with a large itinerant campaign to offer credit and business guidance called Programa BB para Elas. There are five trucks that traveled through 900 Brazilian municipalities by the end of the year.
Regarding the application of the funds made available, Carlos Motta explained that it is at the discretion of the entrepreneurs to choose the destination of the resources, but that he believes that the impulse will have great positive effects on the economy.
“Cash is a working capital line. Companies can use this resource, which goes up to R$ 150,000, to pay employees, buy goods and make free use of it”, informed the vice president.
Banco do Brasil reported that BRL 4.6 billion had already been handled on the first day of the 2022 edition of the program alone. According to data released by the bank, 43,300 customers had credit requests answered since Monday (25), 23,000 of which on the first day.
