Parents and members of the educational community demonstrated around the Asunción school, where the complaint of the case of sexual abuse of a 10-year-old boy was made.
They ask that the authorities show their faces and They mainly charge against the principal of the school, demanding his resignation from office.
The authorities of the Ministry of Education and the Prosecutor’s Office intervened in the case after the allegation that a 10-year-old boy was allegedly sexually abused by a stranger in the bathroom of the institution.

“My son was hooded, he did not see the aggressor’s face, when I took him home he told me crying what happened to him,” said the mother of the affected minor.

The director of Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the Ministry of Education and Sciences, Sonia Escauriza, reported that intervention was taken through the directors of the school, who reported that the student was accompanied to a health center and subsequently to the forensic clinic for inspection.

In addition to the alleged sexual abuse, the boy was also a constant target of bullying by his peers. Complaints in this regard were also made to the directors of the school.
Prosecutor Carla Rojas initiated the first proceedings and took pertinent witness statements to clarify the case.
