New Cuban telenovela will pay tribute to the radio

75 years after the airing of the famous radio serial the right to be bornof Felix B. CaignetCuban television foresees the premiere for July of the soap opera The right to dream a production that in 60 chapters will pay homage to the famous radio soap opera broadcast by the old CMQ SA Circuit and which was starred by María Valero, Carlos Badías, Lupe Suárez, Nenita Viera, among others.

With a script by Ángel Luis Martínez and the direction shared between Alberto Luberta Martínez and Ernesto Fiallo, the dramatized will feature performances by well-known faces on the island such as Verónica Lynn, Luis Rielo, Irela Bravo, Rubén Breña, Fernando Hechevarría and Denys Ramos.

“The script was worked on as pre-filming was done with two different teams. The first six chapters take place in 1948, therefore, it is a challenge given the conditions in which we currently work ”, he declared to OnCuba Alberto Luberta Martinez.

“The first part of the plot revolves around the original transmission of the right to be born and the well-known “air war”, that is, the fight between the largest circuits at that time: RHC Cadena Azul and CMQ, owned by Amado Trinidad and Goar Mestre, respectively. From the seventh chapter the soap opera jumps to the present. The story has its links and anchors between the first and second parts and also connects with real life. It is sincerely a tribute to all those who have made and make the radio with true sacrifice and love. I hope that the radio operators of the 40s like those of today feel reflected, ”he pointed out.
