New Conpes for productive development

New Conpes for productive development

The National Planning Department (DNP) reported the approval of document Conpes 4085, or Internationalization Policy for Regional Productive Development, with which it is sought that Colombia take advantage of internationalization for the growth of the territories in the country.

(There are fewer and fewer Conpes, but more rigorous and with goals).

Said document proposes five strategic axes and the implementation of 38 actions between 2022 and 2027. Among these are measures focused on the interaction of the national productive apparatus with foreigners and Colombians residing abroad for the adoption, adaptation and creation of new technologies.

It also seeks to close the technological gap of Colombian companies and increase their productivity by attracting foreign investment, improve the performance of foreign trade in goods and services, and strengthen the role of the innovation ecosystem.

“Since the 1990s, Colombia has not addressed a comprehensive and profound internationalization policy that encompasses aspects beyond foreign trade and investment. This new roadmap will direct the country towards an effective integration of the Colombian economy in the world, with a differential and territorial vision”said the director of the DNP, Alejandra Botero.

(Conpes wants coffee growers to increase exports).

For the implementation of Conpes, an indicative budget of more than $45,000 million was set and actions were carried out by 25 entities. And in addition, it will have an additional budget of $2.6 billion through indirect activities related to Dian, and the National Logistics Policy, and CTeI.
