The consolidation of the new communal State is strengthened in the organization and democracy of the people through popular consultations in each of the communities, as stated by the Vice Minister of Social Movements, Albanys Montilla, through a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
Montilla highlighted that this November 1 and 2, the projects will be nominated for the fourth National Popular Consultation that will be held next Sunday, November 23: “This Saturday and Sunday we must continue the assemblies with force (…) in our Concrete Action Agenda and continue advancing in our projects, in social cartography and the agenda of dreams.”
“The democratic model, of the participatory and leading democracy of the Venezuelan people, is a model that is constantly under construction, but that is increasingly strengthened in the bases of the organized people,” he exalted.
Likewise, he expressed that this consultation, unlike the others, “each of the communes and organized circuits of the country are going to decide where they are going to place their electoral centers” so that no one is left without participating.
The vice minister announced that in the assemblies held this weekend there will be an assessment of this year’s consultations, “how they have been progressing, what projects they still have to complete, what they still have to complete, and will give the opportunity to review the territorial conformation, the renewal of the communal councils, spokespersons, the review of the functioning of the Communal Militia Units.”
