This Thursday the 14th, the Minister of the Interior, Luis Alberto Heber, participated in the reopening of the Civil Identification office in the Parque Roosevelt shopping center. “These instances are the reflection of the modernization of the State”, stressed the hierarch. The dependency, which will work every day of the week, updated the computer equipment and added 30 square meters to the facilities.
Also in attendance were the undersecretary of the portfolio, Guillermo Maciel; the national director of Civil Identification, José Luis Rondán, and the chief of Police of Canelones, Víctor Trezza.
Heber recognized the effort, commitment and creativity of the department officials. “The improvement in the quality of the infrastructure is for the benefit of the users”, stressed.
Likewise, he highlighted, in particular, that the bidding for information technology was awarded, which will allow a total replacement of the equipment used by the Secretary of State. “We are working to give peace of mind to the population in terms of security,” he said.
The new infrastructure will make it possible to optimize the quality of service to users and improve working conditions for officials, Rondán considered. “This instance is the ideal closure of a serious and neat management”, he pointed.
The chief also revealed that the operational capacity of the device will exceed 200 procedures per day and that the office will remain open every day of the week. He added that the Civil Identification office will soon be reopened in the Las Piedras shopping center, also in the department of Canelones.
