The Secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado; the ministers of Social Development, Martín Lema, and of Transport and Public Works, José Luis Falero, and the president of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE), Leonardo Cipriani, visited the new hospital. The works include reforms in the current polyclinic, two surgical blocks and hospitalization rooms, as well as a Mides office.
At a press conference, Delgado said on Tuesday the 21st that it is a historical work, which fulfills the demand of the residents of the area, which is over 30 years old. Likewise, he announced that an office of the Ministry of Social Development (Mides) will be incorporated to increase its presence in the territory and provide comprehensive care. “With this work we are concretizing electoral commitments, we are generating investment and consolidating employment, one of the priority issues for the Government,” he remarked.
For his part, Lema pointed out that the aforementioned office will result in a substantial improvement in the quality of care, since it will combine the experience of social development and health technicians to offer a comprehensive response to people in the area. “Encouraging greater integration between institutions is one of our priorities in the portfolio,” he said.
He stressed that the inauguration is part of the strengthening of the territorial work that the ministry is carrying out. In this sense, he explained that the new management model provides for the incorporation of technicians, through public calls, with an increase in the workload, from 10 to 30 hours per week, and greater presence in the territory, through the implementation of offices phones to provide various benefits in places with little accessibility.
In his turn, Cipriani explained that the hospital will be an intelligent building, with fiber optic wiring, which will allow information to be derived from the mobile mammograph used in the area immediately to the care center. The nosocomio will have a surgical profile, since it will include two blocks, on-call services and hospitalization rooms, which will allow the emergency door of the Maciel hospital to be decongested, he indicated.
He added that the incorporation of the Mides office denotes the unity of the State, which works in a coordinated manner for a much more comprehensive care, he concluded.
