New Brewery logistics hub inaugurated in SDO

The Dominican National Brewery inaugurated this Wednesday a new Logistics Transformation Huba world-class infrastructure that marks a milestone in the country’s logistics and industrial expansion, with an investment that exceeds 2.9 billion pesos.

Located in the sector of New Herdin the Santo Domingo Oeste municipality, the new operations center has 145,000 square meters and has the capacity to store more than 115 million bottles of beer, which is equivalent to covering national demand for 25 days. The work was developed in record time with the support of the People’s Bank and the Terrier construction company.

During the event, led by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinaderthe president of National Brewery Dominican, Fabian Suarezhighlighted that this investment is part of a strategic plan expansion that, since 2021, has totaled more than 17,640 million of pesos in the country.

“Today we inaugurate a operations center which is consolidated as one of the largest in the country and the Caribbean. It is a promise fulfilledMr. President. A firm step towards sustainable development and a tangible example of our unwavering confidence in the future of the Dominican Republic,” said Suárez.

Likewise, he highlighted that this work has been conceived under sustainability criteria with the objective of obtaining the LEED certificationwhich guarantees energy efficiency, emissions reduction and a high-standard work environment for collaborators.

Job creation

The logistics center will generate more than 500 jobs direct and indirect, and will have a positive impact in sectors such as transportation, commerce, tourism and entertainment.

For his part, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Víctor -Ito- Bisonó, highlighted that this opening represents “more than an investment”, being “a symbol of the dynamism of our economy and the maturity of a productive sector that continues to grow with purpose.

National Brewery Dominican Republic is an essential part of our industrial history. Its growth is also a sign of the investment climate that the country exhibits. In 2024, the foreign direct investment reached 4,523 million dollars, a record figure that confirms the world’s confidence in the Dominican Republic,” Bisonó pointed out.

The minister also valued President Abinader’s vision in creating a favorable environment for the business: “That trust is built with responsibility, dialogue and policies that generate certainty. That is the president’s vision Luis Abinaderwho has made productivity, competitiveness and stability the pillars of his government.”

Sustainable production

National Brewery Dominican operates with 100% renewable energyproduces its own glass bottles and maintains a value chain integrated into the national territory, working with farmers, grocery stores and MSMEs through initiatives such as “Owners of their Future” and the promotion of the “Made in the Dominican Republic” seal.

This new hub consolidates to the Dominican Republic as the nerve center of the regional operation of AB InBevthe largest brewer in the world, reaffirming its long-term commitment to the country.
