After electing Senator David Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP) for the presidency of the House, the Senate elected, by acclamation, the candidates of the unique plate for the Board of Directors in the 2025-2026 biennium. Check out the list of senators.

Opening of the legislative year
At the end of the preparatory meeting, Alcolumbre summoned, next Monday (3), at 16h, solemn session of the National Congress, in the plenary of the Chamber of Deputies, to inaugurate the third ordinary legislative session of the 57th Legislature.
The new Senate president also reported that nominations for party leaders should be done in the resumption of the house’s work.
