From midnight this Thursday, January 16, 2025, A new increase of 5.20% in the price of the country’s tolls came into effect.
This increase, as Coviandina explained through a statement, is supported by the National Government who issued the resolution “by which Toll rates for vehicles traveling through the national territory are increased by toll stations run by the National Infrastructure Agency and the National Roads Institute”.
In this way, the increase applies to tolls throughout the country, not counting those that, after the meeting with the Ministry of Transportation, They will freeze prices for the first six months of the year.
For the moment, Coviandina, one of the concessionaires that began to apply the increase, revealed the new values in force for the tolls located on the road Bogotá – Villavicencio, such as Boquerón 1 and 2, Naranjal and Pipiral.
The increase of 5.20% corresponds to the adjustment of inflation in 2024, revealed by Dane.
However, this would be the first blow to the Colombian economy, since Another increase in tolls is expected in April.
It should be noted that Fedetranscarga opposes these increases, arguing a hard blow for the trucking sector, which is added to the increase in the price of fuel and freight.
