New arrest warrant issued against Borges for treason

The Public Ministry (MP) requested a new arrest warrant against the citizen Julio Borges, a politician of the Venezuelan extremist right, for his participation in the events of the coup attempt on April 30, 2019, in which he attempted to assassinate the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro, and senior officials of the national government.

The information was released this Monday by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek Wiliam Saab, during a press conference, in which he explained that Borges is requested for the crimes of treason, conspiracy and association, before Court 2 ° Control against terrorism.

Saab showed a video, where Leopoldo López himself points to Julio Borges in the coup attempt that was attempted in April 2019.

Borges “was one of the bosses along with the one who calls himself ‘LL,'” Saab said.

Prosecutor continues its actions

So far, the Public Ministry has issued “289 arrest warrants, 129 people accused, there are 63 people convicted, 137 searches have been carried out, 149 seizures and 261 real measures have been issued, incredible, but all of this is true,” the minister stressed. Fiscal.
