A total of 142 cardiovascular surgeries and 5 orthopedic surgeries have been performed in the first 14 days of management of the new administration of the Social Security Fund.
Between October 3 and 11, 79 cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries and 63 major surgeries have been performed in Ciudad de la Salud. Among these are 4 urgent ones.
The administration of the general director of the CSS, Dino Mon, launched a surgical rescue program to provide a solution to patients who have been waiting for a long time and to reduce arrears at the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex.
In cardiovascular matters, between 25 and 30 surgeries have been performed daily, while, in Orthopedics, up to 100 surgeries are planned to be performed monthly, starting with the urgent ones.
To advance this program, the new CSS administration guaranteed the necessary supplies, while a multidisciplinary health team works hard, in extra shifts, to meet the set goals.
