In a National PMU, which had the participation of several mayors and the governor of Risaralda, the measures that could be adopted in the event of an eruption at the Nevado del Ruiz Volcano, whose orange alert is maintained, were defined.
Among those measures is the authorization of the Cartago airport for the arrival of humanitarian aid and the closure of the air terminals of Pereira and Manizales.
“SThe path of the village of La Linda in the jurisdiction of Santa Rosa would be enabled for the evacuation of the inhabitants of the municipality of Villa María”, indicated the Regional Attorney of Risaralda, Lina Aldana.
