According to the Government, the order that the President delivered to the National Risk Unit is to evaluate the work that the transport companies would fulfill for a possible evacuation of Colombians in the zone of interference of the volcano.
The president received a report from Luis Fernando Velasco, commissioned director of the UNGRD and learned about the emergency plans in the departments that could be involved in an emergency, at this meeting the number of people who could be evacuated was estimated. These families are within a 15 km radius of the volcano.
In addition, was informed of the emergency communications strategy, disposition of radio broadcasters for pedagogy and the creation of information content for the media.
