The Cundinamarca Fire Department warned that the Neusa reservoir reached 97% of its capacity, which represents a high risk for the inhabitants of its area of influence. The relief agencies of the municipalities of Zipaquirá, Nemocón and Cogua are on alert and ready to attend an eventual emergency.
“We are very attentive, considering that heavy rainfall has been occurring mainly in the Central Savannah of the department of Cundinamarca, with the presence of possible thunderstorms, We remain vigilant from Unified Command Post to any situation that can be presented,” said Captain Álvaro Farfán, departmental delegate of the Cundinamarca Fire Department.

The Regional Autonomous Corporation, CAR had indicated that the Neusa River has presented flows above six cubic meters per second (6mt3/s), which increases the probability that a “controlled overflow”.
