QUERÉTARO, Mexico, November 19, 2025 — NetBITthe business services unit of ENI Networks, today announced the launch of its new enterprise offering in partnership with Cienaa world leader in high-speed connectivity, and its partner Braxem. This collaboration marks the first commercial deployment of passive optical network (PON) access technology that will help drive digital transformation to the Mexican business market, beginning by further strengthening the connectivity technology of the Bajío, one of the most advanced telecommunications areas in the country.
The new infrastructure, which will begin operations in November 2025 in Querétaro and San Luis Potosí, represents a significant investment in state-of-the-art Ciena solutions, including 5164, 3924 routers, and PON access technology, including Ciena XGS-PON pluggable devices and 3800 family ONUs. This implementation makes NetBIT and ENI Networks the first Mexican operator to use a topology based on distribution nodes in the areas of interest that will allow the incorporation of other services aimed at the business market.

The implemented solution uses an advanced network architecture, with active distribution nodes that integrate the new technology into an MPLS transport network. This configuration allows for automatic redundancy between the fiber optic connection and wireless links, achieving switching times of less than 50 milliseconds and network availability of up to 99.99%, critical features for business applications such as cloud ERP systems, “real-time” applications, HD video conferencing and artificial intelligence solutions.
The target market includes medium-sized companies with 25 to 50 employees that are looking for solutions that go beyond traditional connectivity, covering key sectors such as manufacturing, emerging fintech, educational services and technology companies in Mexico.
