The videos published by Hamas, of two of the Israeli kidnapped who seem human skeletons as survivors of the Nazi holocaust, imploring being rescued and digging their own graves, caused a deep shock in Israel.
Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky, both 22 and 23 years old, had been kidnapped from the feast of Nova on the morning of October 7, 2023 and, comparing their photographs of that time with the images of the video, they would have lost more than half of their weight.
While there are no negotiations for the release of hostages, the despair of the relatives of the 50 kidnapped who remain in Gaza, twenty of them still presumably alive, becomes more distressing every day.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu communicated with the head of the International Red Cross delegation in Israel, Julian Larison, to ask him to provide them with food immediately.
“Hamas’s lie about famine resonates worldwide, while systematic famine is directed against our hostages, who suffer brutal physical and mental abuses,” Netyahu complained.
In Israel they say that although there is hunger in Gaza, it is not deliberate and hold Hamas responsible for stealing much of the charges for help to the population. One of the tests, is the robust and healthy hand of one of the captors, seen in the video when delivering a can of preserves to Evyatar.
