Neoris carries out strategies to close the gender gap in technology and promote female leadership

Neoris, the digital accelerator, has carried out several initiatives so that in the technology sector where there is a preeminence of male profiles, the gender gapwhich is currently between 22 and 25% globally, while at Neoris Mexico 26% of the technology staff are women, and the medium-term goal is to reach 50%, commented Jorge Lukowski, global director of Marketing. and Neoris Communication.

“We develop in an industry where there is a preeminence of male profiles in the technology area, it somewhat defines how diverse the company can be in terms of gender, between 22% and 25% of women who follow STEM careers, and of them some “Not many choose to link up with digital talent,” Jorge Lukowski explained to El Economista.

He added that they have defined the “Neoris Equal” program which reviews the main axes of diversity that have to do with gender, the LGBTIQ community and diversity of races and ethnicities.

“Our policy, what defines talent has no color, race, or sex, the company focuses a lot on choosing the best talent, being an avant-garde and creative company, that is, any person from any segment or group who feels that belong to a company where you will always be welcome to work,” Jorge Lukowski highlighted.

Four years ago they launched the visibility campaign #RaiseYourVoice or “Raise Your Voice” in Mexico, which later went global, with the aim of making visible that women are allies, owners of the agenda, “we talk about women’s talent to put it into courage, for his leadership and breaking of stereotypes and barriers.”

We are working to make female talent key in technology

These initiatives have been accompanied by the 2nd Edition of NEO WOMAN 2024, which took place on October 23. Gabriela Mitri, founder of Speakhers, spoke about sisterhood, visibility of womenof support between women to empower women in any work sector, and particularly in the technology industry.

In the Woman in business panel, it was discussed that there should not only be diversity but equity, that women have the opportunity to earn equal salaries and access team leadership positions.

In this regard, he expressed that Neoris works for a future where the female talent is key in technology. On average, around 20% of positions worldwide are held by women.

“In Mexico, 629 women represent 26% of our team, a figure above the average, with the objective of continuing to increase this percentage. Many of them occupy strategic roles: there are six directors, 13 deputy directors and 74 managers, and in the last year we promoted 40 outstanding collaborators,” he stressed.

“Our voluntary turnover rate among women is only 1%. Our goal is clear: we want to reach 35% female talent in the next three years, 45% in five years and 50% in ten years. We believe that increasing female representation strengthens our ability to innovate and better serve our customers. Creating an inclusive environment where women can lead and make a difference in the industry,” Lukowski stressed.

He emphasized that particularly in Neoris México, “we have managed to reduce the wage gap between men and womenup to 10%, when the average in the country is up to 16%. Our commitment is to continue working for equal working conditions, without gender distinction.”

During the event Liliana Melo de Sada, received the award NEO WOMAN, designed with artificial intelligence and the plastic design and lithography team.

Liliana Melo was recognized for her work and commitment as a promoter of art and culture, and above all because she has given visibility to women in history that had not been recognized, the manager said.
