Propeep will expand to 300 thousand beneficiaries in social inclusion days

La Romana – The minister in charge of Strategic Projects and Special Programs of the Presidency (Propeep), Neney Cabrera, reported this Friday that the Government will expand to 300 thousand the number of people who will benefit in this year 2022 with the days of social inclusion that They are carried out twice a week through the agency in municipalities and communities throughout the country, to impact families in conditions of extreme poverty.

As he stated, in 2021 Propeep managed to impact more than 22,500 people and this year that figure, on the instructions of President Luis Abinader, will be raised to about 300,000 Dominicans.

He pointed out that this is one of the main social impact initiatives carried out by the government of President Luis Abinader, for the benefit of the poor people of the country.

Leading the ninth National Conference on Social Inclusion this Friday at the Luis Heriberto Payan Polytechnic Service Center, in the San Andrés sector, in the Villa Hermosa municipality of La Romana, Cabrera highlighted the integration of the Essential Medicines Program and Center Logistical Support (Promese-Cal) and the National Health Service (SNS), which will distribute medicines to the beneficiaries and provide them with general and specialized medical assistance and dentistry.

He explained that through the SNS, tomography and sonography exams will be carried out for the possible detection of breast, cervical and prostate cancer, through the Chequéate program, which is directed by Dr. Blanca Conigliaro, Intrahospital Coordinator of the SNS.

The official stressed that, through these conferences, to which twelve other institutions and State agencies have joined, people who have not been declared and require their birth certificate are registered, which he said is an initiative of great social impact, because It is possible to provide identification to older adults who do not have documentation.

He said that in the country there is a serious problem of older adults who are not in the Civil Registry and who require documentation, which affects their descendants, producing a domino effect in their lives.

He said that in these days evaluations are also carried out on people for possible jobs, to obtain health insurance, a solidarity pension, medical assistance, delivery of medicines and the Supérate card, which is delivered by the Government.

Likewise, the procedures to integrate them into the technical training courses through the Vocational Schools of the Armed Forces and the National Police, as well as the National Plan for Literacy of Older Adults “Quisqueya Learns with You” are initiated.

He also highlighted that, in each day of social inclusion, the beneficiaries receive a basket with products that make up the family basket, cooked food through the State Economic Dining Rooms and are included in the programs for the elderly and care for disabled people.

Neney Cabrera affirmed that in each day that Propeep carries out, between 3,000 and 5,000 people who live in conditions of vulnerability and extreme poverty are benefited, with the aim of improving their quality of life and guiding them along the sustained path of development.

The minister instructed to give special assistance, through Propeep, to the ladies Johanna Juan Paulino, who suffers from elephantiasis and other diseases, as well as to Vanessa Scarly Germán, a single mother with 8 children, who requested the delivery of the Supérate y Seguro card. of health.

During the act, the director of Promese-Cal, Adolfo Pérez, also spoke, who thanked Minister Neney Cabrera for integrating the organization in the days for the benefit of lower-income people and promised the distribution of medicines in each of these for the attendees .

On her side, the provincial governor, Jaqueline Fernández Brito, thanked President Luis Abinader and Propeep for taking this day to the Villa Hermosa municipality and asked that it be extended to the other municipalities and neighborhoods of La Romana.

Meanwhile, the municipal mayor of Villa Hermosa, Fabio Antonio Noel, stated that today begins in that town what President Luis Abinader promised in the campaign, that this municipality will be, as its name indicates, “much more beautiful” in its management .

For his part, the director of the National Plan for the Reduction of Extreme Poverty and Promotion of Social Inclusion “Dignified Dominican”, explained the benefits that Propeep offers in each of the sessions that take place throughout the country.

On this ninth day, Promese-Cal and the SNS were integrated for the first time, and also participate INESPRE, Senasa, the National Council for Disability (Conadis); the National Council for the Elderly, the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), the Economic Kitchens of the Presidency, the Vocational Schools of the Armed Forces and the National Police, the Ministry of Labor, the National Institute for the Integration of Primary Care Children (Inaipi), INFOTEP, the Community Youth Police, the Central Electoral Board (JCE) and the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA).
