The Attorney General’s Office announced thatarchived the investigation it had been carrying out against María Claudia Daza, former assistant of the Legislative Work Unit of former President Álvaro Uribe while he was serving as Senator.

The accusing entity rpicked up all the recordings in which Daza appeared talking to ‘Ñeñe’ Hernández, his partner and other people from politics in La Guajira and the coast.
Claudia Daza was accused by the lawyer Miguel Ángel del Río of belonging to a network of illegal financing for the campaign of President Iván Duque in 2018.
Nevertheless, the National Electoral Council filed the investigation months ago for that alleged financing and did not find irregular accounts in the campaign, of which Luis Guillermo Echeverry was manager.
The investigative body decided to file said process considering that there were some inaccuracies in the orders of interceptions to some telephone numbers.
“These were some numbers that in principle corresponded to the facts of a murder of the son of Barranquilla tailor Óscar Rodríguezin which alias Marquitos Figueroa was allegedly involved,” highlights the accusing body.
For the prosecution, although it could be proven that the calls had indeed been from the cell phone of ‘Ñeñe’ Hernández, doubts remain about the legality of some judicial decisions by investigators due to the date of Hernández’s death.

The Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the names that the “Duke President” campaign registered as contributors and found no factual evidence of a relationship between the contributors and the sayings of the conversations of ‘Ñeñe’ and Daza.
