The Supreme Court of Justice issued two rulings today. The first rejects an unconstitutional action filed by Cadipac. But minutes later it gave rise to the action raised by a firm in particular.
Óscar “Nenecho” Rodríguez, mayor of Asunción, affirmed in a video posted on the networks that the second ruling of the constitutional court sets a precedent that leaves the municipality with its hands tied. Since it limits the inherent actions of the municipality and allows the construction of stations less than a kilometer away from others.
“It is known that the general interest is above the particular interest. The ruling speaks of engaging in a lawful activity of competing, but even more important is the right to live in a healthy environment. Therefore, I urge local and jurisdictional authorities to side with Asuncenos who want to live in a better place”, he commented.
