Nelva Reyes urges her colleagues to be tolerant in the face of an ‘ocean of academic deficiencies’

The teacher and teacher leader, Nelva Reyes, made a balance this Friday about the start of the 2022 school year and the situation in educational establishments.

He mentioned that the working conditions of thousands of Panamanians have been interrupted and these are the parents of our students, for which he recommended to the Ministry of Education (Meduca) that school cafeterias be reactivated in schools and food be guaranteed to students.

He took advantage of this return to classes to draw the attention of all his fellow educators, telling them that “we need to be tolerant and aware that we come with an ocean of academic shortcomings.”

Reyes asserted that the Meduca has the responsibility to listen to the situations and what the teachers experience in the educational centers.
