Neither meat products nor oil nor coffee will be among the goods that the Ministry of Internal Commerce (MINCIN) as part of the regulated family basket. At least for now.
This was confirmed by the entity itself in a Update note On the so -called “mandados”, which accumulate months of arrears and breaches in the middle of the severe economic and financial crisis that crosses the island.
In his communication, the Mincin said that “the regulated family basket continues to be a priority of the government”, but pointed out that “is not exempt from financial and logistics effects, which are aggravated by strengthening the measures imposed by the government of the United States ”.
With regard to the mentioned products, the note indicates that “its delivery is not expected”, although without offering more details or providing a possible solution horizon for that absence, which is not new either.
Since last year the lack of these products in Cuban wineries was common. In June, and after reiterating its absence between the merchandise sold through the so -called supply notebook, the Mincin denied that the oil and coffee were “suspended.”
Then, “ratified” that they would be delivered “once there is availability”, without specifying an exact date.

The irregularity or absence of deliveries is not limited to these merchandise, but it lasts to the increasingly limited offer that Cubans receive rationally.
The rice, a traditional base of food on the island, accumulates a debt that dates back to December of last year. In his note, the Mincin reported that its completion to The western and central provinces “ensures with upcoming ships of ships.”

Even with that debt, the entity explains that the distribution of 10 days of February began for children from 0 to 6 years and “medical diets for children with chronic childhood and pregnant diseases”, also February.
As for the helpful bread of the notebook, also affected by irregularities and a decrease in its grammage, the MINCIN states that they maintain their deliveries, although it takes difficulties in saying that their sale must “”stabilize from arrivals to the country of raw material, during the month. ”
Cuba crosses a severe economic crisis, accentuated by the effects of pandemic, US sanctions and internal difficulties and inefficiencies.
