Neighbors of Itá Pytã Punta regret that lack of political will keeps the viewpoint abandoned

A 42-year-old woman fell from the precipice in the area of the Mirador Itá Pytã Punta viewpoint in Asunción last Wednesday night. This after the collapse of part of the infrastructure.

The victim was with her daughter at the time of the incident. She was a tourist since she does not live in the area. Fortunately, despite the height, she was unharmed.

Giselle Vera, a neighbor and president of the neighborhood commission, made an extensive post on twitter (@gisevera_20) where she questioned the situation that affects all residents.

“This is the result of a lack of political will, thousands of times we have requested at least some intervention from the Municipality of Asunción, the Itá Pytã Punta Viewpoint corresponds to them, first it was sunk in garbage and is always collapsing. Today a visitor fell from the highest point of the place, when she stepped on the floor of the area she completely collapsed. We already know by heart the excuse that we are not in the annual budget as usual, but we are a neighborhood that exists, and we will not allow them to continue seeing our faces, ”she warned.

He maintained that they will not sit idly by waiting for the entire infrastructure to fall.

“It was not an accident, this was seen coming and was warned too long. We respect the ideologies of everything but we are not puppets, please take action sometime,” he said.
