Various neighbors reported that, for more than a month, they have been living with the putrid water from the drains in the New Future settlements and Don Bosco in the town of Piura and asked for an urgent and definitive solution to this serious problem.
They pointed out that this problem has been generated by the collapse of the sewer mailboxes and has caused them to remain stagnant in a large section, in front of the La Madre del Buen Consejo school and harming the students who study there.
They indicate that this serious problem has been generating bad odors and a health risk in the area. Even more so, because children and families who are exposed to pollution pass through this area daily. “The smells in this area are nauseating. Unfortunately, the EPS Grau and other authorities do not act on this serious problem. They are indolent about what is experienced daily in this area and in front of a school with more than a thousand students,” said one of the residents of the affected area.

They add that the bad smell is strong and ask for the immediate intervention of the responsible authorities to solve this problem that affects dozens of families.
They even stressed that this is not the first time this has happened. “It’s not this time, it’s always the same problem. They recently fixed it and now it’s again. The one that is harmed is the Madre del Buen Consejo school, because of the students,” added a neighbor.
While in the city of Sullana, residents have also been affected by the flow of water from the drains due to the collapse of the sewer mailboxes. This occurs in the canal via, Sánchez Cerro settlement. This problem also occurs in other sectors.
Likewise, they requested the placement of mailbox covers on several streets in this town and which are carried by people with bad living conditions.
