Garnica and Giménez’s goals take Jaime Lozano’s to nine points

Necaxa beat the Tuzos de Pachuca this Wednesday 2-0 and jumped to fourth place in the tournament Opening 2022 of Mexican soccer, three points behind Monterrey, Toluca and the UANL Tigres. Necaxa rose from ninth to fourth place with three wins, two losses and nine points, and Pachuca dropped from fourth to sixth, with eight points.

The day started this Tuesday, when Monterrey ratified itself as leader by beating Puebla 1-0, Toluca beat Leon 0-1 and Tigres beat Juarez, by the same margin.

In a corner kick, Colombian Stefan Medina rescued a ball in the area and with his left foot scored the 1-0 that gave Monterrey the victory, which is placed with four wins, one draw and 12 points, the same balance as Toluca and Tigres , whom he leads by better goal difference.

Toluca defeated León 1-0, with a last minute goal from Daniel Álvarez and the Tigres beat Tijuana 0-1 with a goal from Frenchman André Pierre Gignac, in a duel in which the felines suffered the expulsion of the Colombian Louis Quinones.

In other matches, this Wednesday the Chivas de Guadalajara tied 2-2 at the Querétaro stadium and on Tuesday Tijuana beat champion Atlas 1-2 and Cruz Azul tied 0-0 with San Luis. In the closing match of the day, this Wednesday the Brazilian Dani Alves will debut with Pumas UNAM, who will host Mazatlán, in search of three points that will bring the team, eighth in the standings, closer to the top of the table.
