The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced this Friday the suspension of the star of the Memphis Grizzlies team, Ja Morant, for 25 games without salary for conduct detrimental to the league.
Said suspension will be during the first 25 games of the 2023-2024 regular season and he will not be able to participate in public activities of the league or the team, nor will he be part of preseason games.
Morant suffers his second suspension in less than half a year, last March he was suspended for 8 games for appearing in a video carrying a weapon in a nightclub, the same situation that was repeated again in another video in a car that carried the current sanction of 25 games.
It’s the second time he’s been suspended in the last three months for displaying a firearm on social media, following an eight-game suspension in March.
