The Navy keeps the hangover alert with waves between 2.5 meters and 3.5 meters in Rio de Janeiro until next Thursday (31).
The hangover, caused by an extratropical cyclone, banned several roads in the city on Tuesday (29). The water invaded the tracks, which reached the garage of some buildings.
The Tim Maia bike path, between the exit of the Vidigal and St. Conrado community, is closed preventively, for safety measure, since yesterday (28), and because of the strong waves. Leblon’s waterfront kiosks are also closed.
The Municipal Urban Cleaning Company (Comlurb) is working to remove sand from Avenida Delfim Moreira. The work should last all night and dawn.
Due to the hangover, the Traffic Engineering Company (CET-Rio) changed bus and cars traffic on some streets.
The city alert system, from the city hall, reported that heaven will be predominantly cloudy and there is no forecast of rain today, with moderate to occasionally strong winds.
For this Wednesday (30), the river follows without rain and the sky will have varied cloudiness, with moderate winds in the evening.
