The Navy extended until the morning of Friday (1st) the hangover alert in the coastal range of the state of Rio, between the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Arraial do Cabo, in the Lagos region, with waves up to 2.5 meters high in the southeast direction.
The port captaincy limited, due to the hangover, the navigation of the Marapendi Canal, in Barra da Tijuca. The measure restricts navigation for sports and recreation vessels, passenger transport, fishing, cargo transportation and other practicing vessels.
The measure also limits navigation in Guanabara Bay, besides the Bay of Grande and Sepetiba Bay, because of the adverse sea conditions and winds with gusts of 30 knots, which corresponds to more than 55 kilometers per hour.
Hangover effects
The Municipal Urban Cleaning Company (Comlurb) reported that the teams continue to clean on the beaches, after the hangover. The special operation on Leblon Beach, in the South Zone of Rio, continues until 21h this Thursday (31). The track next to the Avenida Delfim Moreira Avenue in Leblon was released to traffic at dawn today.
Comlurb removed 310 tons of sand from the bike path, boardwalk and clues of Avenida Delfim Moreira, using 52 trucks. All the sand was returned to the beach. The teams will be ready in the coming days to work if the hangover reaches the waterfront again.
The Rio Alert system, from the city hall, reports that Thursday night will have partially cloudy sky and there will be gradual reduction of cloudiness, with weak to moderate winds. There is no forecast of rain. Today, the maximum temperature was 24.4 ° Celsius (ºC). The minimum was 10.3 ° C.
The forecast for this Friday (1st) and until next Sunday (3) indicates that the river will continue without rain. The winds will be moderate and can occur punctually strong gusts on Saturday and Sunday.
Temperatures will gradually go into elevation. For Friday, the forecast is a maximum of 27 ° C and a minimum of 12 ° C. Already on Sunday, the maximum can reach 34 ° C and the minimum will be around 16 ° C.
