According to the authorities, the man arrived at the scene in a white van with National Party flags and argued with Broad Front militants who were celebrating the victory of Yamandú Orsi. In the midst of the tension, he took out a compressed air rifle and fired a shot into the air from his vehicle. The incident left no people injured, since one of those present managed to deflect the weapon before the shot was fired.
The second shift Prosecutor’s Office of Treinta y Tres, headed by Ana Segovia, ordered his location, although without an arrest warrant. The man preferred not to testify before the Police and remained at the disposal of the authorities. He will be summoned to testify before the Prosecutor’s Office accompanied by his lawyer.
During the raids carried out at the house of the person involved and the properties he rents, an air rifle was seized. According to the chief of the Treinta y Tres Police, Richard Lima, the man has no criminal record.
