According to reports, the strike will take place throughout Wednesday, September 4.
Let’s stop being spectators, let’s participate in the acts of resistance! Without our money, they cannot survive, including the Army. There are more of us and we are the ones who generate income in the country!, says one of the calls shared through social networks.
Will there be marches and blockades?
The call for a national strike did not include any calls for marches or blockades, since according to the information, the aim is to carry out a “peaceful resistance.”
On Tuesday, ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) voted in favor of suspending work to demonstrate alongside employees of the Judicial Branch and the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation against judicial reform.
During a private session, the suspension received eight votes in favor and three against, hours before legislators from Morena and allies began discussing the reform.
In addition, in the early hours of Tuesday, blockades were reported at the entrances to the San Lázaro Palace by workers of the Judiciary, who were protesting against the judicial reform, which forced the deputies to look for an alternative venue to hold a session and begin the discussion of said reform.
A group of students from different universities also joined the protest in San Lázaro and held a demonstration near the Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City, which was recently chosen as an alternate headquarters for the Chamber of Deputies. They are also protesting against the reform of the Judicial Branch.
The demonstration blocked traffic on the RĂo de la Piedad Viaduct in both directions at the Ciudad Deportiva Metro station.

In other states of the country such as the State of Mexico, Sinaloa, Morelia and Veracruz, young students also demonstrated this Tuesday against the approval of the judicial reform.
