National Risk Management System contains fire at Yamaha factory

Officials from the National Risk Management System carried out work to extinguish the fire at the facilities of the Yamaha motorcycle assembly plant, located in the San Pedro parish, Libertador Bolivarian municipality. After this incident was reported through the single emergency call line 9-1-1, the officials went to the site to carry out the necessary maneuvers. The information was provided by the Fire Department on its social networks.

The fire affected three warehouses of the assembly plant, according to the first reports from the Fire Department. Likewise, paramedics and Civil Protection officials are on site to deal with the incident.

A large quantity of tyres and lubricants for motorcycles were found at the scene, where specialised manoeuvres are being carried out to extinguish the flames. So far, no injuries have been reported, and the authorities are applying the procedures to control the flames.

Minutes later, the Mayor of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, congratulated the efficiency of the National Risk System, which “on September 6 responded quickly and effectively to put out the fire that occurred in the industrial zone of the San Pedro parish.

On his Instagram account, Meléndez highlighted the work of “an entire team working together with great ethics and expertise to deal with this emergency, accompany the community and prevent the flames from spreading and affecting other areas.”
