This Monday (2), the public will meet the big winners of the 15th National Radio Music Festival. The traditional award ceremony organized by the public radio station of Brazilian Communications Company (EBC) aims to reveal and recognize Brazilian music talents in new works. 
This year, for the first time, the competition accepted entries from all over the country and had a total of 736 songs participating.
The winners will be announced through a live broadcaststarting at 1pm. The 12 finalist songs compete for the award in five categories: Best Song with Lyrics, Best Artist, Best Lyrics, Best Arrangement and Most Voted Song on the Internet. All were performed on the broadcaster’s schedule and submitted to a popular vote. The finalist artists will participate in the broadcast, when the winners will be announced.
Festival
The festival was born in 2009 with the aim of revealing singers and composers of Brazilian Popular Music to Brazil. The artists selected by the public and the jury start to play on the program. National Radio.
Together with the Rádio MEC Award, the festival forms the musical axis of the EBC Public Communication Award, launched in July. The fight against misinformation, the resumption of incentives for national audiovisual production and the traditional recognition of the country’s radio production guide the three axes of the award.
