The National Primary Commission reported this Tuesday afternoon that until Friday, December 16, they will receive applications to integrate the regional boards, which must be formed in each state of the country.
In a message on his Twitter account, the Commission reiterated that the selection of the members of the regional boards, as well as their conformation, will be governed by gender equity; political independence, which means the absence of partisan militancy; representation of various sectors of civil society; moral authority and capacity for dialogue; presence of people with technical and organizational capacity, and young social actors.

The process for receiving applications began on December 1, while the Commission advances in its consultation schedule sectors started on November 19.

Article 18 of the Regulations governing the Commission confers the powers of:
- Guarantee the provision of instruments and material corresponding to the electoral process.
- Carry out a permanent spokesperson exercise in order to inform the regional community about all the processes inherent to the Primary election.
- Designate and timely accredit the Members of the Electoral Tables and extend their respective credentials.
- Accredit the main and substitute Witnesses of the candidates before the Regional Board and the Electoral Tables.
- Provide technical and logistical support to Board Members.
- Ensure the preparation and signing of the minutes corresponding to the electoral process by the Table Members and Witnesses.
- Safeguard electoral material.
- Enforce procedures related to the protection of the identity of all voters.
- Appoint, if applicable, regional delegates.
- Any other function that the National Primary Commission confers on it.
