National Police takes Curundú with Operation Flash

From early hours, the National Police in coordination with the Public Ministry develops Operation Flash in the district of Curundú and other sectors, as part of the actions to strengthen security in the country.

The Deputy Director General, Simón Henríquez, closely follows the operation, to remove firearms from the streets and apprehend people who break the law.

As a result of the actions carried out in the Curundú sector, two people were apprehended and a firearm was recovered, presumably linked to an event that occurred on Wednesday, January 4.

In 2022, the National Police seized 3,004 firearms as a result of the operational actions carried out in the national territory.
