The National Police, in coordination with different specialized departments, captured five people as alleged members of a criminal gang known as “Los Tímidos”, accused of multiple robberies in the municipality of Boca Chica.
This operation was carried out following a video posted on social media and a complaint from a citizen of La Caleta.
The complaint, filed on June 19, 2024, describes the theft of a Jincheng brand motorcycle, model AX-110, black in color. The victim reported that his motorcycle was stolen while he was inside his home and that he later discovered, through security cameras, that the criminals were carrying firearms and using unidentified motorcycles to commit the crime.
Two Suzuki motorcycles, model AX100, and a Turano motorcycle, model CG150, were seized, both with altered chassis and engines.
Thanks to intelligence work, the Police were able to identify and arrest Franyer Saldaña, alias “Darling Sánchez”, 20 years old, resident in Campo Lindo, Boca Chica; and Luis David Casimiro, alias “Wira”, 18 years old.
