National Police deals hard blow to pixbae smuggling in Guabalá


During a routine inspection, it was possible to retain a truck that was transporting this product, which did not have the documents required for the transfer, distribution, and commercialization, for which reason it was confiscated, since it is presumed to be contraband.

A truck with more than 150 segments of pixbae was seized at the Guabalá Checkpoint, in the province of Chiriquí.

According to Commissioner José Fernández, head of the Regional Police Zone, during a routine inspection it was possible to retain a truck that was transporting this product, which did not have the documents required for the transfer, distribution and commercialization, for which reason it was proceeded to seize it since it is presumed to be contraband.

He said that the product was sent to the National Customs Authority to determine if the pixbaes are part of smuggling activities.

During these inspections they also retained a parcel box, which, when verified, contained illicit substances inside.
