The National Police reported that through a call to 104, the units of the Arraiján Police Zone were alerted about a vehicle that was transporting an alleged illegal substance in the Chapala sector of the Juan Demóstenes Arosemena corregimiento, in Arraiján.
At the moment of calling a halt to the mouse-gray pick-up vehicle, and applying article 325 of the criminal procedure code, the units observed a bag in the back seats, with a large amount of money, which they could not justify.
The pertinent coordination was carried out with officials of the Public Ministry, where the count revealed the sum of 61,000 dollars in cash of dubious origin.
Deputy Commissioner Oriel Batista, head of the Arraiján Police Zone, stated that they continue with operational actions in order to guarantee healthy citizen coexistence, he also thanked the population for trusting in the work being carried out by police units.
