The National Police together with the Public Ministry carry out Operation Monarch in the districts of La Chorrera and Arraiján, with the aim of dismantling a criminal structure dedicated to gangs. Two people have been apprehended at this time.
Operation Monarch carried out 9 search procedures in sectors such as El Progreso and Vacamonte where this criminal group operates, linked to crimes of Homicide, Personal Injuries, Drugs, Illicit Possession of Firearms, among others.
They also reported that 8 people have been apprehended during this operation, which also included a search procedure at the La Mega Joya Penitentiary Center, where this criminal structure also operates.
