The largest number of appointments was reported in Lima: 55, followed by the regions of Arequipa and Puno with seven; La Libertad, Lambayeque and Ancash with six, while in other regions between one and five magistrates were appointed.

The National Justice Board reported that 29% of the appointed judges are women, 24 of whom managed to enter the judicial or fiscal careers through open access calls and another 11 did so by obtaining promotion to a higher level.
The president of the JNJ, Antonio de la Haza, pointed out that the titular magistrates ensure the independence of the justice system. “Independence, irremovability and autonomy are fundamental principles and the backbone of any judicial system,” he stressed.
It should be noted that for the aforementioned appointments, the Board evaluated the interviews of 180 candidates who reached the final stage of the competition. Finally, 51 judges and 69 prosecutors were appointed in 21 regions of the country.
