The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) announced at a press conference that a green alert is decreed at the national level, due to the climatic events that are being generated in the country, as a result of the passage of a tropical cyclone through the Caribbean, which causes effects indirectly in Central America.
This was stated by the director of Sinaproc, Carlos Rumbo, when urging the population to take preventive measures in the face of the rains.
Rumbo said that they are monitoring this climatic condition to be able to notify the population and in this way, in the event of any emergency situation, to be able to evaluate them in time and take them to the shelters authorized by the entity.
According to this monitoring and surveillance notice, the areas of greatest prevention are the province of Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Veraguas and the Ngäbe-Buglé region.
