The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, supervised the progress of the projects approved in the National Popular Consultation, during a direct meeting with the members of the El Legado del Gigante Socialist Commune, located in the El Valle parish, in Caracas.
In that sense, on 12th Street in the El San Juan sector, in Los Jardines de El Valle, a Mission Base was inaugurated that will benefit 1,625 families in the community. This space has a medical office, a Self-Government Room and a Food House, where prepared meals will be offered to 120 inhabitants of the sector, which strengthens social care and community well-being.
Rodríguez expressed his satisfaction upon verifying the organization and work carried out by the Popular Power to consolidate the Communal Government System in the area.
He affirmed that the true way to make Venezuela invulnerable against extremism, fascism and external aggression is through the reinforcement of direct democracy, which is a main line of the consolidation of Popular Power.
For his part, the Minister for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, highlighted that they are always present in the town’s catacombs, in addition to underlining that the El Legado de un Gigante Commune has great projection to incorporate youth in all processes and decisions, by highlighting the role and youth leadership in the construction of communal power.
With these actions, the national Government reaffirms its commitment to strengthening Popular Power, direct democracy and the consolidation of the Communes as a fundamental axis of the Bolivarian Revolution.
