National Government regrets departure of UCV dean of pharmacy

The National Government expressed its condolences on the passing of Dr. Carlos Eduardo Ciangherotti Franco, who in life was dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV).

The Minister of People’s Power for University Education, Ricardo Sánchez, attended the events in homage to the academic that took place this Saturday, in the spaces of this house of studies, where he brought the message of solidarity and condolences from the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to the University Community.

Sánchez highlighted that Dr. Ciangherotti was an outstanding teacher and researcher at the UCV Faculty of Pharmacy, with a vision of transformative leadership and a capacity for dialogue and innovation that allowed him to strengthen his faculty’s academic quality.

The statement said that his physical departure “represents a great loss for the university, UCEV and research community of this country, and therefore, from the Ministry, we join in the mourning and extend our condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.”
