National Force stays another 90 days on indigenous land in Amazonas

O Official Diary of the Union publishes, this Monday (17), ordinance of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security which extends the use of the National Public Security Force in support of the National Indian Foundation (Funai), in the Camicuã Indigenous Land, in the state of Amazonas.National Force stays another 90 days on indigenous land in Amazonas

The military will act in the actions of preservation of public order, of the security of the people and preservation of the patrimony. The activities will be episodic and planned, for 90 days, until January 12, 2023.

According to the document signed by Minister Anderson Torres, the number of soldiers to be made available will comply with the planning defined by the Directorate of the National Public Security Force and the National Public Security Secretariat.

The Camicuã Indigenous Land was approved by the Decree No. 381, of December 24, 1991. The administrative demarcation was carried out by Funai. The land is inhabited by the Apurinã indigenous group, and is located in the Amazonian municipality of Boca do Acre.
