National Drug Board will develop a protocol to organize events

The National Drug Board (JND) will develop a new protocol for events and shows, its secretary general Daniel Radío reported on Tuesday.

The initiative seeks to implement the design design of maps of the places where events are held, the incorporation of “bilge tents” -which refers to areas free of sale and consumption where they will dispose of first aid and identification of intoxications and forms of risky consumption-, and hydration and rest stations, as he told a press conference. The final project will be presented to the Congress of Mayors to apply it throughout the national territory.

“It involves maintaining a line of continuity in carrying out careful events, because the logic is that prevention is better when one is having fun,” Radio insisted and clarified that the organization already had guidelines for carrying out events, but in this case, you want to “protocolize” the matter.

The project will be framed in a national plan for a Prevention System to be implemented in a “systematic” way in the educational, labor and community spheres and will be developed in conjunction with all the public and private institutions linked to the regulation of parties, as well as health care, and businessmen in the field so that “end up being a norm”.

Asked about it, he added that “it will be a process” and that will not be in force next 24 August (night of nostalgia) nor are there any established deadlines for its presentation, but the JND does plan to implement an explanatory campaign on the board’s social networks.
