National count enters the final stage and there is a vigil for two candidates for the TSJ

The official count of Judicial Elections in Bolivia entered the final stretch, after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday the count exceeded 80%, six regions concluded the scrutiny thus having its new maximum judicial authorities. In parallel, expectations in Santa Cruz rose in tone due to the vigil installed by followers on the outskirts of the count in the Fexpocruz due to the dispute for the first place of two applicants to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

According to the report of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), the departments that completed with the count are Oruro, Potosí, Chuquisaca, Tarija, Pando and Beni. The central axis is the missing one since Cochabamba reached a progress of 92%, which is expected to culminate in the first hours of this Thursday. They are followed by Santa Cruz with 72.37% and further behind La Paz, with 52.16%, the latter department that presented difficulties with the transfer of electoral materials over distances such as the municipality of Alto Beni, according to sources from the TSE. to the newspaper EL DEBER.

In the case of Oruro, this region completed with the election of the magistrates for the Plurinational Constitutional Court (TCP), the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the Agro-Environmental Court (TA) and the Judicial Council. In the case of TCP, Paola Verónica Prudencio Candia achieved first place with 59,693 votes, which represents 32.59% and his substitute Luz Verónica Moya Cayoja who obtained 55,496 votes, 30.30%.

In the case of the TSJ where its vote count ended at noon, it was Magistrate Primo Martínez Fuentes elected which achieved 38.27%, representing 70,629 votes; and Yesika Maura Daga Prialet was a substitute with 37.27%, which translates into 58,538 votes. For the TC, where voted in national constituencythe candidate Víctor Hugo Claure reached 24,990 votes. In the same way, it remains to know the counselors by the Council of the Judiciary.

Regarding Pando and Beni Citizens voted on the ballots of the Judicial Council and the Agro-Environmental Court, respectively. In the Pandina region, null votes predominated on the candidates in both instances, while in Beni the valid votes exceeded 60%. The votes of both eastern departments will be added to national scrutiny.

Tempers in the department of Santa Cruz have been heated since Sunday due to the dispute over first place between the candidates Mirian Rosell and Rómer Saucedothe latter who came forward after the elections to declare himself the winner.
