The president of the Committee for Santa Cruz, Rómulo Calvo, invited the “Bolivian patriots” to send their suggested questions for the council national summoned for the 25 of January. In the video shared from the civic entity, the link is shown in which you can enter to share the proposals.
“Because your opinion is important, we invite you to be an active part of the questions that will be read in the National Cabildo for Freedom”, Calvo expressed in the shared message.
The mechanism proposed by the Committee for Santa Cruz allows citizens to write possible questions. “It is part of this important decision”, encourages the head of the institution. The provided link will be enabled until midnight on Monday, January 23.
Last Monday, the National Civic Movement convened a national council that will be held in all capital cities department at the same time. This council is one of the measures taken to demand “justice, democracy and freedom” from the government.
The civic meeting assessed the situation in the country after the apprehension of the governor of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho. Without making a direct allusion to the department’s highest authority, the civic request extends to the almost 180 people considered “political prisoners” who remain in custody.
Calvo remarks that “every suggestion is very valuable and welcome” and awaits the participation of citizens.
The selection modality used to determine the questions that will be proposed in the aforementioned town hall is unknown. Calvo closes his message with a few words of encouragement for the population. “lUnity is our strength and together we will achieve a free and democratic Bolivia,” he concludes.
